Original American Cookies

  • Cooking time: 10 minutes


Ingredients (15 pieces):

- 250g of flour
- 90 g of brown cane sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 packet of yeast
- 1 egg
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons honey
- Chocolate chips (to taste)

Preparation of the recipe :

Mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl.
Melt the butter and add the beaten egg and 2 tablespoons of honey and stir in all the preparation.
Add the chocolate chips (preferably with milk, but I've tasted cookies and chocolates 3 is exquisite), and mix with a wooden spoon.
Preheat oven to 220 ° C (thermostat 7-8), with the grid at the lowest.
Shape into cookies about 10 cm in diameter and arrange on a plate. They must be sufficiently spaced.
Put them 10-11 minutes, depending on whether you want them respectively "fluffier, soft or crisp-soft"

*Remarks:
These are the typical American cookies.
[Note: on reflection, I prefer them with only 100 g sugar.]
